Prewrath Radio Online Announcement

As mentioned yesterday, we are on the verge of launching the Radio program (the first ever prewrath radio program as far as we are aware). Just to orient youself to the show, there will be three different mediums to listen to the program.

Option One: Simply click on the link that we will provide each show to download the audio file and listen to it.

Option Two: The Radio program will be podcasted so you can subscribe to the show's feed so it can be downloaded automatically to your media player (e.g. iTunes).

Option Three: We will (eventually) have a streaming mp3 player for each program; that way if you choose not to download the show to listen to it, you can hear it streamed through the blog. (By the way, we are looking for a very good streaming mp3 player that is compatible with the Movable Type platform. If you know of any, please let us know!)

Also, we have a new blog feed for those who want to subscribe to the blog via their RSS Reader. If you use the previous feed that we provided in the past, it will still work.

Revamped Shopping Cart!

Since we started the blog, this is the first time we have revamped the Shopping Cart giving it streamline function, adding a "Free Prewrath Resource" category, and among other tweaks.

It is our goal to have a dynamic robust portal for Prewrathers looking for resources for small group and personal studies. We will continually be adding an array of substantive material to our shopping cart on a frequent basis--we have many more irons in the fire.

Further, we a have new section just for MP3s and DVDs. We will be adding MP3s in due course, which will be announced as new product is added.

As far as the "Free Prewrath Resource" category, we have Robert Van Kampen's audio lectures available, and the Rapture debate audio. We will be adding more free MP3s in the near future. In addition, PowerPoint presentations and Audio books are on our agenda.

The first item on the "Free" page will be the "Prewrath Radio Online" archive once production begins. By the way, that is the name of the program that we are going with. Thank you all for submitting suggestions on what we should call the program. The Radio program will be launched soon! (It will also be podcasted).

Lastly, if you have a website or blog and would like to promote the Prewrath position, feel free to link the Prewrath Resource Shopping Cart, or simply the hompage of this blog. We would appreciate it.

Prewrath Story from the Philippines

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I am sending this email just to thank your for coming to the Philippines a couple of years ago and sharing to us your position on the Rapture of the Church. I was one of the pastors who attended your lectures in two venues in Manila in 1998 or 1999 (I cannot recall the correct date).

I left my things (lecture notes and the booklet that you gave) in Manila when I came back to Mindanao to start the Lord's work here. So, I made an independent Bible Study regarding such position, praying hard with my family that the Lord would take it out of our hearts if it is not the right position or enlighten us more if it is. The more we dig the pages of the Bible, the more we are convinced by the Lord that it is the strongest and most Bible-based position on the Rapture and the end-time events.

I am now preparing my lecture charts and other materials because I will be inviting the local pastors in the area for a mini prophecy conference this month, Lord willing. It is a little bit difficult because the prevalent position here is pre-trib. We have even experienced already being put out of the camp because of this position that we firmly embrace. But by God's grace we are not moved because we know that "all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." To God be the glory.

Once again, thank for being a blessing to us. May the Lord continue to bless you and use you in His work.

Revelation 5:9-10, Do the Four Living Creatures and Elders Represent the Church?

Some of you may know that I blog infrequently on a popular apologetics blog. I mostly blog on some technical topics such as Greek, textual criticism (i.e. examining and comparing ancient manuscripts and their character, which results in demonstrating the trustworthiness of God's Word), and Reformed theology.

Recently, I wrote an article there on a significant textual issue that directly affects a pretribulational interpretation of Revelation 5:9-10.

A few of you may have encountered the textual discrepancy in Revelation 5:9-10 between the King James reading of "us" and the modern translations' reading of "them." Since many pretribulationalists will cite the KJV in this example to try to prove that the Church is in heaven in Revelation 5, I believe that it is important for you, the prewrather, to be aware of this and be prepared to give a ready response to this error.

*Btw, I am sure that some of the readers here, and other prewrathers as well, use the King James Bible. Though I believe that the KJV does not have the proper term in this particular text, I do believe that the KJV is a generally reliable translation.

If the Elders are not the Church, then who are they? Warner and Cooper write,

The best identification seems to be that the twenty-four elders are a special group of beings that are always in view when the throne of God is in view. What they do, other than worship God, we do not know. Why they are there, we do not know. Who they are, we are never told, other than that they are elders and from common usage throughout the Bible, they function in some capacity as spiritual leaders.

Perhaps we should leave their identification as it is given in the Scripture: unidentified.

New Item! Defining the Prewrath Rapture (DVD)

We have added a new item to our Shopping Cart. A 35 minute DVD video presentation of the Prewrath position (We have it in VHS as well).

Charles Cooper gives an overview of the Prewrath Rapture. This is an excellent introduction to the position for small group discussions, or individuals wanting to learn its distinctives.

Prewrathers, Help Us Name the New Prewrath Webcast Program

Yes, you heard correctly...we are starting a Prewrath "Radio" program here---its debut show soon to be announced! (And it will also be podcasted for all you podcasters).

It will be a prerecorded show so you won't be able to call in live (possibly in the future). But we certainly encourage you to write into the show and ask questions about eschatology and the prewrath position, in which we would be glad to answer those questions on subsequent shows.

Besides the Q&A, we will be discussing specific Prewrath topics; and I am sure we may have interviews; responses to other eschatological positions; and a host of other dynamic ways to make the Prewrath Webcast informative and substantive for the listener.

We have been working on some technical matters the past month for launching the Webcast. And we believe that the name of the Webcast is important. And so we would like to ask all of you for feedback on an appropriate name or title for the show.

It should accomplish two things: It should be content-rich, and suggest a promise of expectation. We would like to have the name "Prewrath" in the title for obvious reasons. So something such as,

"The Prewrath ____?____"

Or

"Prewrath ____?____"
